Reflecting my bilingual experience growing up, the book presents itself for dual reading, inviting readers to flip through from either end: one side entirely in English, and the other in Mandarin/Chinese. As the narrative progresses, these two languages seamlessly merge until they fully blend in the center—where my conversations with fellow designer friends are vividly documented.

Part monologue, part dictionary, the book intends to use personal narratives to explore my multiple identities existing in one body. While celebrating the complexity of identities, the book, guided by definitions, thoughts and realities, also intends to be an opportunity to introduce myself to myself, as well as an enriching and thought-provoking experience for its readers.
Through poems, letters, image-making, research and questionnaires, and most importantly, the wisdom and insights found in conversations with fellow designers who share a slice of my identity, I staged a visual narrative dedicated to every one of my present selves—revisiting the past, reconstructing images, and reimagining layered self-introductions.
